Via degli Zingari 50, 00184 Roma RM
Monti Holiday House is a self-contained apartment in the heart of Rome's Monti district, at Via degli Zingari 50 (00184). It sits on the ground floor of an elegant building and is a complete unit: a living area with a double sofa bed and a dining table, a mezzanine with a double bed, and a room with a kitchenette and a breakfast table. Up to 4 guests, across 2 sleeping spaces.
Monti is the oldest district in Rome and today its most lived-in quarter: cobbled streets, artisan workshops, wine bars, second-hand bookshops, the neighbourhood market, and in the evening people sitting around the fountain in Piazza della Madonna dei Monti. Here you do not sleep next to the city: you sleep inside it.
The apartment lies roughly between the Colosseum and Termini station. Cavour metro (line B) is about a 3-minute walk, and the bus stop on Via dei Fori Imperiali is a moment away. From Cavour, line B reaches Termini in two stops, and from there the trains for Fiumicino and the rest of Italy: you arrive and you leave again without ever taking a taxi.
The house has air conditioning and independent heating, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, an iron, a TV, and a kitchen equipped with a hob, a fridge, plates and utensils. The bathroom is in marble, with a shower, hot water, towels, shampoo and a hairdryer. Bed and bath linen are included. There is also a terrace looking over the roofs of Rome.
Check-in is in person: the keys are handed over after documents have been checked, as Italian law requires; the paperwork can be prepared online beforehand. Pets are not allowed and the apartment, though on the ground floor, is not wheelchair accessible.
Not included: Rome's city tourist tax, 6.00 euro per person per night for the first 10 consecutive nights, payable on site (under-10s exempt); final cleaning, 75.53 euro once per stay; breakfast and meals; parking (restricted traffic zone); cot or extra bed.
